On September 17th the inaugural Liberty Straw Poll was held with great success, every candidate shined and showed themselves to be an outstanding representative for liberty. The straw poll vote winner was William (B.J.) Lawson. Full results can be found here. The final winnings were in excess of $2,800.00. These results should not be misconstrued to be anything beyond a friendly straw poll of liberty minded individuals who made a donation to get to vote for this particular event.

	Michael Delavar - I am an anti-occupational Republican running against a pro-war Democrat. The incumbent flipped on the war in 2007, destroying much of his Democratic support. In the second quarter, our campaign has out-raised all other candidates, including the incumbent in individual donations. We will win this race as we energize the freedom loving patriots in the district to tell their neighbors to vote for me. With the strong anti-incumbent sentiment on his flipping on the war as well as his vote for the FISA bill, many of his former supporters will be voting against him.
	John Cunningham, a successful small-businessman, is running for Congress in Massachusetts' 7th district. He supports a limited, constitutional government, a non-interventionist foreign policy, and free trade. His opponent is 32-year incumbent leftist Ed Markey. If elected to Congress, John will have his work cut out for him. His priorities include ending the drug war, restoring sound money; cutting taxes and spending; getting out of Iraq; repealing the Patriot Act; and restoring civil liberties. He will work tirelessly to enforce the constitution and defeat those on both sides of the aisle who chose to ignore it.
	Dan Reale is a libertarian candidate for Congress seeking the immediate restoration of the US Constitution along with the liberties and freedoms that made America great.
	Bob Conley is a Commercial Pilot, Flight Instructor, and a licensed Professional Engineer. Bob has worked hard to restore our republic and has found no better fit than the traditional Democrat in his populist views that put people over corporations and the U.S. Constitution over all. Bob believes in the Founding Fathers' notion of a government of responsible men and points out the direct correlation between experience in Washington, D.C. and experience in corruption. Bob has a fundamentalist approach where the "consent of the governed" equates to "power to the people." Be part of the revolution with him!
	Dan Druck - Even before the election, Dan Druck is fighting for freedom. He has sued the Illinois State Board of Elections in the state and federal appellate courts to end unfair ballot access for third parties. Imagine the "damage" he'll do in Congress!!! Time for Dan! Time to return to the Constitution!!!
	Delia Lopez has been married to Anthony Lopez for 26 yrs. They have 3 children and 3 grandsons. She developed and managed a plan for buying houses for retirement and managed the plan while raising their children while he worked for FedEx. Anthony was injured on the job with FedEx and the retirement plan came early. Then Delia heard about Ron Paul, she was hooked. Anthony then listened to Dr. Paul and together they decided to do all that they could to save our republic. "We have to do it for our grandkids."
	William (B.J.) Lawson is a physician and entrepreneur whose interest in advancing a Constitutional federal government began when he left surgical residency to start a hospital software company in 2001. Over the next seven years, he became increasingly concerned as he discovered that our federal government has become a tool for exploitation by the politically connected instead of a servant of the people. As a husband, father, and concerned citizen, B.J. understands that our nation's current path is unsustainable. We must work together to restore liberty and enrich our local communities -- freedom isn't free, and liberty is priceless.
