About Us / Contact

The Liberty Straw Poll was born out of a desire to help identify and fund top liberty minded candidates that support a platform of freedom, prosperity and peace though adherence to the rule of law, the US Constitution. Our personal observations of liberty voters showed that while there is a great deal of interest in liberty candidates it is often not easy to find the right campaigns to support that will maximize ones contributions. The Liberty Straw Poll's aim is to solve this problem in a fun, community building way that introduces an extra element of excitement and intensity due to the voting process.

The Liberty Straw Poll team can be reached at libertystrawpoll@gmail.com and includes:

Bryan Thome, project organizer, is a true freedom lover, humanitarian and activist in the ever going campaign for liberty. Most recently, Bryan was a supporter of the 2008 campaign of Ron Paul and made contributions by being an administrator on RonPaulForums.com, producing videos and being involved in various local efforts that helped him become a delegate to the Republican Party of Texas State Convention. Bryan is also an activist against the Trans-Texas Corridor, part of the so-called NAFTA superhighway system and runs a website Save Our Texas to highlight his videography efforts to stop the eminent domain abuse of the Trans-Texas Corridor.

Kurt Wallace, in addition to be the host of the inaugural Liberty Straw Poll, Kurt has played a key roll in the organizing of the Internet broadcast of the staw poll. Kurt is the host of a week day radio show "Wake Up America" on Break The Matrix, a show dedicated to the message of freedom.

Roxi Collinson, after spending her life apathetic to politics, Roxi jumped headfirst into the Ron Paul Campaign within days of first hearing his name in May of 2007. She Co-organized the Tulsa Ron Paul meetup.com group before leaving to help coordinate the New Hampshire canvassing project "Operation Live Free or Die" where she spent two month campaigning. Roxi now lives in Missouri and helps with various liberty minded political ventures.

Additionally, Ron's liberty minded background lead him to offer the development of the entire Liberty Straw Poll donation / auditable voting apparatus to our exact specification, at no cost.

The American Liberty Coalition PAC works to raise awareness of liberty oriented candidates. In November 2007, their ad "Something Big" won the Ron Paul CNN/YouTube ad competition, and was aired nationally on that CNN debate. Along with ARCFX, the PAC was also responsible for the much acclaimed "The High Tide" computer animation advertisement.

The American Liberty Coalition PAC was selected to be the Liberty Straw Poll sponsor PAC due to their liberty orientation, exceptional track record of quality work and their lack of internal overhead.
